RECLAMATION OF CONTAMINATED GROUND WATERS BY A MULTIPLE MEMBRANE PROCESS

Using of multiple membrane process to increase effectiveness of the treatment of groundwater contaminated by ammonium sulfate. A cellulose acetate reverse osmose plant is improving by microfiltration and nanofiltration methods. This paper presents design features, plant performance and operational issues (post commissioning chemical fouling, organic and biofouling and cleaning, silica scaling and nitrate effects).
