OXIDATION OF NITROBENZENE BY O3/UV : THE INFLUENCE OF H2O2 AND Fe(III). EXPERIENCES IN A PILOT PLANT

Nitrobenzene degradation by advanced oxidation processes. In aqueous solution, O3/UV, Fenton's reagent or associations of oxidants were used to oxidized nitrobenzene. Effects of pH and oxidant concentrations were studied as a function of total organic carbon evolution. The best results were obtained with O3/UV process and at low concentration of Fe(III).
