LOW-COST SEPARATION OF ARSENIC FROM WATER : WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO BANGLADESH
Precipitation of arsenic. Using iron, which is found in groundwater a co-precipitation of arsenic (III), is performed. Iron ion (Fe III) is generated by aeration of water loaded in Fe (II). Efficiencies of this system are controlled by pH and iron/arsenic ratio. Applications of this process are developed in Bangladesh to produce free arsenic water for 8 million people.
