HOW DO CONSUMERS PERCEIVE WATER QUALITY? EXAMPLE OF AN ANTHROPOLOGICAL STUDY CARRIED OUT IN PARIS
A presentation of results from anthropological-based studies looking into the perceptions, practices and behaviour of home use of tap water in Paris. Irrespective of any objective analysis, the perception of water quality is anchored in personal attributes, ranging from scientific knowledge, religious attributes, cultural factors and fashion. Compares consumption patterns of bottled water with images vehicled on tap water, notably by the media.
