FIRST-PASSAGE-TIME TRANSFER FUNCTIONS FOR GROUNDWATER TRACER TESTS CONDUCTED IN RADIALLY CONVERGENT FLOW
Transfer function approach to predicting tracer breakthrough is established for two representation transport : uniform and radially convergent flow. Mathematical description and definition of dimensionless variables (time, laplace variable, flux, Peclet number, passage time) are presented. Modelling of a field tracer test is conducted on a weak-dipole with two wells and an injection borehole. The flexibility of the transfer function allows rapid assessment of tracer test design and conceptual model of transport.
