EVALUATION OD TWO CONCENTRATION METHODS FOR DETECTING "GIARDIA" AND "CRYPTOSPORIDIUM" IN WATER
The aim of this study was to evaluate two concentration methods. The cartridge filtration proposed in ICR (Information Collection Requirement Rule) protozoan method and the membrane filtration recommended by method 1622 draft, based on their sensitivities, recovery efficiencies and detection limits on cysts and oocysts. The correlation between the densities of protozoan parasite and come indicator microorganisms were determined and the effect of turbidity on there two methods was also evaluated.
