EINFLUSSE AUF DIE GUTE DES GRUNDWASSERS UNTER DER WEST BANK=EFFECTS ON THE GROUNDWATER QUALITY IN THE MOUNTAIN AQUIFERS OF THE WEST BANK

The Oslo 2 treaty includes an agreement between Israelis and Palestinians to share the groundwater flows in the mountain aquifers of the West Bank. The groundwater quality in this area is affected by contaminants invading the aquifers (nitrate, sulphate and chloride). These originate mostly from sewage water released from households percolates and industry. Most sewage water infiltrates into the underground and percolates to the groundwater surface.
