APPLICATION OF 3D HYDRODYNAMIC MODEL TO FLOOD RISK ASSESSMENT

Using of 3D flood model including hydrodynamic presssure to free-surface hydraulic engineering problems. This article presents an application to a case study : the proposed redevelopment of part of llanwern steelworks. FLOOD3D modelling was used to simulate a breach in the sea defence embankment at Goldcliff and to simulate a flooding from the river Usk.
