Tributaries and the management of main-stem geomorphology

The objectives of this paper are (i) to present a conceptual framework for evaluating the geomorphic impacts from tributaries, with special emphasis on management issues at different linked scales, and (ii) to illustrate this theoretical framework with some case studies of the management approaches adopted in the Drôme River basin in the Southern French Prealps.
