Impulse response function analysis of pore pressures

Effective dam safety control requires pore-pressure measurements to be interpreted as soon as possible after the readings have been made. Direct solutions based on partial differential equations are not appropriate here. In this paper, we present a novel approach to analysing pore-pressure monitoring data, called the Impulse Response Function Analysis (IRFA) method.
