Estimation of the volume of a fine sediment deposit over a gravel bar during a flushing event

Estimating the fine sediment budget in alpine rivers is an important challenge to better understand the morphodynamics of such rivers. This paper presents some first in-situ experiments describing the evolution of a fine sediment deposit over a gravel bar during a flushing event. Some modelling and discussion of the fine sediment dynamics are also provided.
