Comparison of chemical indicators and biological indicators for the quality evaluation of antropized brooks

The object of this study was to intercalibrate and test chemical indicators and biological indicators used for the diagnostic of ecological health or good ecological status of surface water(DCE). The indicators were tested by studying the relationship between land use, water qualityand ecological state of brooks of differents levels of anthropisation. The brooks were studied with traditional chemical parameters, chemical and biological indicators, in order to compare their coherence and their sensivity, and the possibility to discriminate point and diffuse pollution.
