TREATMENT OF WASTEWATER FROM SLAUGHTERHOUSE BY DAF-UASB SYSTEM
A DAF-UASB reactor was tested as an alternative to a two stages Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket for the treatment of slaughterhouse wastewater. A pilot plant was operated to ascertain Dissolved Air Flotation design parameters as pretreatment unit and evaluate the performance of UASB reactor with and without DAF. Experimental results are discussed.
