STUDY ON SLUDGE EXPANSION DURING TREATMENT OF SALAD OIL MANUFACTURING WASTEWATER BY YEAST
Treatment of salad oil manufacturing wastewater and study of the problem of sludge expansion in relation with the presence of five yeasts. Study of sludge morphology change from pseudomycelia to true mycelia. Study of the mixed cultures (wastewater treatment plant) performance. Comparison of two kinds of sludge performance. A mold "Geotrichum candidum" has been isolated that seems to be the reason for Sludge expansion. The correction is obtained by adding 0,3% of sodium propionate and sodium hypochlorite. The yeast activity is weakened at the same time.
