Seasonal variability in concentration and speciation of several inorganic elements (Cd, Co, CU, Pb, W, Zn) are observed in both runoff and total deposition near the roads in Swedish - For Co and W, the higher concentrations are measured in winter and they are related to the intense wearing of the pavement and the use of studded tires - Deicing salts have minor effects.
