RESPONDING TO THE WATER CRISIS IN PAKISTAN
The water management in Pakistan. Pakistan faces grave water management challenges, including rapidly declining water availability, food insecurity, and poor access to safe drinking water, pollution and political instability. To avoid the realistic prospect of large-scales famine and massive political instability, Pakistan must go through cultural and paradigm shifts. A blueprint for managing the water crisis is suggested that includes slowing population growth, increasing education, using less water in agriculture, and normalising relation with India.
