RELEASE OF ORGANIC MATTER IN A DISCONTINUOUSLY CHLORINATED DRINKING WATER NETWORK
The effect of discintinuous chlorination on the characteristic of water containing organic matter and bacteria cells. Essays were carried on a pilot drinking water distribution network. Chlorination of unclotianted networks has a strong influence on bacterical growth and results in a release of absorbed organic matter.
