NANOFILTRATION MEMBRANE FOULING BY CONVENTIONALLY TREATED SURFACE WATER
The fouling of different nanofiltration membranes by pre-treated surface waters was investigated in order to identify the components or characteristics in the chemically treated feed waters that foul the membranes, and to determine the characteristics of the foulants. Nanofiltration performance is more related to membrane characteristics than to feed water, especially membrane morphology seems to be important.
