METHODS FOR DETERMINING THE IN SITU HYDRAULIC CONDUCTIVITY OF SHALLOW AQUITARDS, AN OVERVIEW
Permeability measurements for clay till and fracture permeability versus matrix permeability. Equations for transient flow and constant head tests are noted. Bibliographical methods for determining in situ the hydraulic conductivity are presented. Water-level records for a set of piezometers completed in thick clay till are discussed. Incidence of pore-pressure charges and settlement due to surface loading and determination of specific storage.
