LONG-TERM (18-YEAR) CHANGES IN SULPHATE CONCENTRATIONS IN TWO ONTARIO HEADWATER LAKES AND THEIR INFLOWS IN RESPONSE TO DECREASING DEPOSITION AND CLIMATE VARIATIONS
Two lakes and their major inflows were studied from 1980 to 1998. Sulphate concentrations, bulk deposition, climate variables were measured and sulphate input-output budgets were calculated. Results show that sulphate deposition declined but concentrations in Ontario lakes have not declined proportionately.
