KINETIC MODELLING OF Fe(III)H2O2 OXYDATION REACTIONS IN DILUTE AQUEOUS SOLUTION USING ATRAZINE AS A MODEL ORGANIC COMPOUND
Modeling of pesticide oxidation. From experimental data obtained in dilute aqueous solution, a kinetic model was developed to simulate degradation of atrazine by Fenton reagent, Fe(III)/H2O2. Influence of pH in a range between 1 and 3, concentrations of each reactant was studied. A radical mechanism approach was proposed to explain the pseudo first order decreasing of experimental kinetic curves.
