HOMOGENEOUS CATALYTIC WET-AIR OXIDATION FOR THE TREATMENT OF TEXTILE WASTEWATER

Experiments with catalytic wet-air oxydation using nitrates and sulfates of transition metals were successfully conducted on real desizing,printing and dying wastewater. Results show a mixture of Cu++ and Fe++ ions processes has the most effective catalytic activity in the treatment of natural-fiber desizing effluent.
