A GRANULOMETRY-BASED SELECTION METHODOLOGY FOR SEPARATION OF TRAFFIC-GENERATED PARTICLES IN URBAN HIGHWAY SNOWMELT RUNOFF
Granulometry of traffic particles. The transports in urban highway generate a high concentration of suspended solids which are found in water. An analysis of particle diameters is proposed. Applied to real cases, granulometry distribution curves are given and discussed in terms of diameters and treatments (sedimentation, filtration, and coagulation).
