Health of an aquatic ecosystem. In order to determine the health level of a river, the South African scoring system version 4 (SASS4) rapid bioassement method was developed and applied on the Mhlathuze river in South Africa. Physico Chemical water quality is determined but it is difficult to get good answer when the method is used in an estuary with surface and seawater.
