POLLUTANT CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PYROLYSIS OF PETROCHEMICAL WASTEWATER SLUDGE BY AN ELECTRIC FURNACE
The objective of this study is to examine low temperature pyrolysis of a petrochemical industrial sludge in an electric furnace, as an alternative to incineration. Concentrations of Zn, Cu and Sb in pyrolysis residues were analyzed. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and volatile sulfur compounds were also determinated to assess the exhaust gas compositions. Influence of temperature conditions on VOCs, volatile sulfur compounds and kinetics parameters was evaluated.
