A NEW MODEL FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT CLARIFIER SIMULATION

Modeling of clarifier. In the case of a wastewater treatment plant using activated sludge reactor and sedimentation basins, a one-dimensional model is proposed. The sedimentation flux is determined by settling velocity and suspended solid concentration. A sedimentation flux remaining constant through all the clarifier is assuming. The sludge blanket evolution is simulated. Calculated data are compared experimental data and with an empirical relation given in a previous publication.
