France-Albania: IOWater and SAUR on a project of water processing, transport and distribution
Mis à jour : 13/12/2011
As part of economic relations development between France and Albania, as illustrated by the visit to Tirana, last year, of the Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, the French Ministry of Economy and Finance decided to grant to Albania a donation of 430,000 euros to finance a study on updating the technical system requirements for projects in the processing industry, transport and distribution of water . This decision responds to a request by the Albanian Ministry of Transport and Public Works.
The study will be conducted by the International Office for Water (IOW), based in Sofia-Antipolis, which is associated with the SAUR company. IOWater and SAUR have a proven track record in this area, in France and worldwide.
In practice, the French experts will work in close consultation with their Albanian counterparts on the review of all existing technical requirements dating from 1974. The criteria followed for the establishment of the new technical documentation will be relevant with respect to local conditions, operability and integration of the latest technological advances.
