Systematic studies about empirical and suitable theoretical distributions of low-flow parameters are rare in recently published literature. In the context of low-flow analyses at selected gauging stations in the Elbe river basin, also the probability distributions of low-flow parameters were considered. This paper reports the findings, although they are not generally applicable. They should be understood as inspiration for more systematic and regional studies.
