A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS : STORM WATER POLLUTION POLICY IN CALIFORNIA, USA AND VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA
Comparison of the approaches undertaken by the Environmental Protection Authority Victoria for the Melbourne metropolitan area with the other approach implemented by the California Environmental Protection Agency for the Los Angeles area (both communities having a similar population and extent of urbanization) to control stormwater pollution in order to reduce the risk of flooding. Analysis of both regulatory and environmental frameworks and discussion of success. Possibilities of application for developing countries.
