EXPECTED PRICE OF URBAN WATER CYCLE IN SPAIN

SUMMARY
The price of water supplied usually has been granted by administration. The arising problems of scarcity, contamination, sanitation, urban concentration, sustanibility of hydraulics infrastructures, flood prevention ... with the new rules coming from the European Union, has conducted a new policy aiming to transfer the real cost to the price of water.
In Catalonia, north-east of Spain, the price of water is the highest in Spain. It includes: water treatment, water distribution in town, water distribution at regional level, sanitation, funds to erect new hydraulic infrastructures of general interest. Nevertheless some lack of real cost of the integrated management of water cycle has been detected and will be added in the future.
The first step of the research is to complete the analysis of the real price of water in Catalonia. It has been done using a lot of available information and using methods of; costimating, Lang, minitab, and involving investment done and to be done and running cost.
